AADA to increase rate US$500/TEU from China to Australia May 15

MEMBER lines of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) will levy a US$500 per TEU and $1,000 per FEU on both dry and reefer cargo from Greater China to Australia starting May 15.


This increase will apply in full on top of existing ongoing market rates and will be subject to accessorial surcharges applicable at the time of shipment, said the AADA statement.


AADA is a voluntary discussion forum of 19 ocean carriers serving the trade from north and east Asia to Australia. Members include ANL Singapore, APL, CSCL, Cosco, Evergreen, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin Shipping, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, "K" Line, Maersk, MSC, MOL, NYK, OOCL, PIL, Sinotrans, TS Lines and Yang Ming.
